Tabletop Gaming

Tabletop roleplaying games are a great way for people to be social and interact with friends while using their imagination.  One of the newer trends with tabletop gaming has been the creation of “digital map tables” for miniatures that allow the players to see their characters and the monsters they’re fighting more easily.  Instead of playing on a printed out paper map, or even a map drawn with dry erase markers, “digital map tables” allow the game master to have high quality maps created and placed on the table for the players to interact with.  Not only do those digital maps allow for a quick swap of one map to the next as players move through a game, but it can also allow the game master the freedom of creativity with their imagination.  At Vauna, we are taking that one step farther!

Now players and game masters can not only have a digital map on the table for players to interact with, but the ENTIRE ROOM around you can be manipulated to enhance the game!  Players walking through a forest? Add a view of trees around you on all the walls with animal sound effects coming in through the ceiling mounted speakers.  Players heading into a dungeon?  The walls will change with you and surround the players in darkness or dank walls with the sounds of rattling chains or dripping water echoing around them.

The players are encountering a monster in the game?  Project the skeletons onto the walls as they fight.  Or show the ogre or beholder coming up on them as the bellowing roars drown out their screams.

Vauna is also now fully functional with DUNGEON ALCHEMIST to allow fully interactive maps with 3D modeling.  

The game is no longer limited to your miniatures and your imagination.  Fill in the world around you with the LAIR!
